A Gleason High School basketball player has been awarded the Dale Kelley Memorial Scholarship.
Senior Kade Sawyers was presented the scholarship during a game last week.
The $250 scholarship is presented yearly by the Northwest Tennessee Basketball Association in honor of Dale Kelley.
Kelly was a longtime NCAA basketball referee, three time State Representative, 30 year Mayor of Huntingdon, and member of the Bethel Athletics, TSSAA, Carroll County Sports and Tennessee Sports Hall of Fames.
