The UTM Skyhawks basketball squads traveled to Little Rock Thursday evening to face the Trojans in OVC double header action.
In the evening’s opener, the Trojan women took a 29 to 18 lead into halftime. The Skyhawks mounted a comeback, outscoring Little Rock in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, but couldn’t overcome the first half deficit and fell 65 to 57.
In a closely contest nightcap game, UTM led at the intermission 32 to 28. In a neck and neck 2nd half, Little Rock would make a buzzer beater bucket to win 67 to 66.
