At Martin’s Finance Committee meeting last week, the committee discussed a plan to help lower the City’s debt by charging UTM students….
Committee member Chad Brewer introduced his finance proposal.
The other committee members gave their input on whether or not it would be a good decision for the City.
Though the idea could raise the city an extra 50 thousand dollars, City Board Alderman Terry Hankins says, there has to be another way.
The Committee voted against Mr. Brewer’s proposal.
The next Finance Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 19th at 5:15 at the Martin Police Department.
