Two illegal residents from Poland were arrested in McCracken County following theft at a Graves County business.
Sheriff’s reports said a vehicle containing 37 year old Majkel Malinowski and 36 year old Margarita Kaminska was stopped following a theft from a home improvement store in Mayfield.
McCracken County detectives and Homeland Security investigators located evidence that led to a search warrant for a shipping company.
At the shipping sight, officers seized a package of stolen items valued at over $3,000, in which the two had shipped prior to being stopped.
The Sheriff’s report said Homeland Security then contacted the Chicago Police Department, who learned multiple packages had been sent to a location from different regions of the United States.
Detective determined Malinowski and Kaminska had visited stores in eight states, stealing and sending the items to the location in Chicago.
They were arrested and charged with multiple counts, including engaging in organized crime, receiving stolen property over $1,000 and possession of burglary tools.
