The #4 UTM Men’s basketball squad had hoped to punch their ticket to the OVC championship game Friday evening against #1 Tennessee State, but came up short 68-55.
The first half was tightly contested, with the Skyhawks taking the lead early. However, the Tigers would take over before intermission to take an 8 point lead into halftime 36 to 28. UTM left it all on the court in the second half, but couldn’t overtake TSU.
Head Coach Jermery Shulman hopes that his team will get a bid to a post season tournament.
