National Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory and Hazardous Weather Outlook

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and Hazardous Weather Outlook for Western Kentucky and Southeast Missouri.

Forecasters say sustained winds of 15-to-25 miles per hour will include gusts of 40-to-50 miles per hour.

Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages are possible.

The Wind Advisory is in effect until 4:00.

The Hazardous Weather Outlook says a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today, with damaging winds being the main threat.

There is also the possibility of a couple of tornadoes and hail up to one-inch in diameter

Counties include Fulton, Hickman, Graves, Calloway and McCracken, along with Scott, New Madrid, Cape Girardeau and Mississippi County in Southeast Missouri.
