With the National Weather Service forecasting the possibility of severe storms today, the need for timely information is important.
To better help inform the public, Union City weatherologist Brent Callicott initiated a plan last year to have weather radios available to purchase locally.

To help with providing weather protection for those in the community, Callicott assisted residents with programming the radios.(AUDIO)
Callicott also added that while the area does not want any damaging storms, the rainfall is needed to help eliminate the ongoing drought conditions.(AUDIO)
