A Dresden Middle School student will face disciplinary action, after a threatening message directed toward the school was reported and verified after school hours.
Weakley County Schools Communications Director Maegan Jolley said the message was shared in a student group chat and reported to local law enforcement officials.
School administrators and the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office responded immediately to investigate the situation.
Weakley County Schools is currently assisting the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues.
Jolley said the safety of students and staff is always the top priority, and threats of any kind are taken seriously and addressed promptly.
