Flags are urged to be flown at half-staff in Kentucky on Saturday.
Governor Andy Beshear has requested the flag formation in honor of 26 year old Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, of Glendale.
Sgt. Pennington died on March 8th from injuries received by an enemy attack at the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
He was assigned to 1st Space Battalion, 1st Space Brigade in Fort Carson, Colorado.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, where Pennington attended and graduated.
Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff.
