
An Obion County city has been selected as a site to help provide new homes to veterans and their families.
The United States Department of Agriculture has chosen South Fulton for the “Homes for Hometown Vets” project.
Don Harris, a USDA Housing Program Director, told Thunderbolt News about the home building project.(AUDIO)
The project in South Fulton is designed to construct a minimum of five two-bedroom homes, which include a full bath, energy efficiency, ample storage and comfortable living space.
Harris said his networking with officials in Obion County revealed the need for the veteran’s project.(AUDIO)
Veterans interested in the possibility of purchasing a new home through the “Homes for Hometown Vets” project should contact South Fulton City Hall.
