A collision involving two concrete trucks resulted in a fatality in Graves County.
Sheriff Jon Hayden said the accident Monday morning just before 7:30, claimed the life of 48 year old Jeremiah A. Smith, of Eddyville.
Sheriff’s Office reports said Smith’s truck, and a truck operated by 24 year old Conner A. Paschall, of Hazel, were traveling in opposite directions on Highway-94 when they clipped each other.
When the trucks touched together, Paschall’s truck overturned in a field, with Smith’s truck overturning into a creek.
The Sheriff’s report stated Paschall suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment, while Smith was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both vehicles were Advance Manufacturing Brand Concrete Mixer trucks.
The removal of both trucks took an extended period of time, with an investigation still ongoing.
