The Martin Finance Committee approved raising Municipal court costs by $50, the first increase in 32 years.
Martin Police Chief Phillip Fuqua explained why the increase.
The proposed increase is from $65 to $115. He goes on to tell us what court costs pay for.
He closed by saying that the court fees don’t benefit the Police Department.
Martin City board will vote on the proposal at the April 13th meeting.
