The University of Tennessee-Martin has been awarded the Team Sportsmanship Award for men’s basketball.
The Ohio Valley Conference made the announcement of the award for the 2025-26 year.
Voted on by the student-athletes and coaches of the respective sports, the team awards are bestowed upon programs deemed to have best exhibited the standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior as outlined by the OVC and NCAA.
Included in the areas of evaluation was the conduct of student-athletes, coaches, staff, administrators and fans.
The honor is the second for the UT Martin men’s basketball program, with the first coming in 2010-11.
