Five West Tennessee Hunters Have Plead Guilty to Turkey Hunting Violations

Five West Tennessee hunters have plead guilty to various violations regarding turkey hunting.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said the hunters were ordered to pay $16,000 in restitution, along with fines and costs of $6,000.

With their pleas, the hunters forfeited 79 turkey beards, 17 fans, one white turkey, four shotguns and a compound bow.

Those charged in the turkey hunting violations included:

20 year old Tyler Madden, of Dyersburg, plead guilty to 24 charges in the General Sessions Courts of three differing judicial districts (Dyer, Madison, and Crockett counties). The charges included:
• Two counts of Big Game Tagging Violation (TCA 70-4-102)
• Seven counts of Statewide Wild Turkey Bag Limit Violation (TCA 70-4-102)
• Small Game Season Date Violation (TCA 70-4-102)
• Statewide Waterfowl Season Date Violation (TCA 70-4-102)
• Hunting Without Permission (TCA 70-4-106)
• Hunting from a Public Road Violation (70-4-108)
• Hunting from a Motor Vehicle Violation (70-4-109)
• Ten counts of Illegal Possession (70-4-116)
The court ordered Tyler Madden’s hunting privileges to be forfeited for eight years, and he is required to pay $10,000 in restitution. Further, he has incurred fines and court costs amounting to $4,183.50. As part of the penalties imposed, Tyler Madden has also forfeited a compound bow and a Mossberg shotgun.

18 year old Jaxon Perdue, of Dyersburg, plead guilty to two charges in the Madison County General Sessions Court. The charges include:
• Big Game Tagging Violation (70-4-102)
• Illegal Possession (70-4-116
The court ordered that Jaxon Perdue’s hunting privileges be forfeited for one year, he must pay $1,000 in restitution, and he incurred fines and court costs totaling $331.

25 year old Clayton Madden, of Jackson, plead guilty to three charges in the Madison County General Sessions Court. The charges include:
• Two counts of Illegal Possession (70-4-116)
• One count of Big Game Tagging Violation (70-4-102)
The court ordered Clayton Madden to pay $2,000 in restitution, along with fines and court costs totaling $331. Additionally, the court ordered the forfeiture of a Benelli shotgun as part of the conviction.

47 year old Chris Baker, of Jackson, plead guilty to two charges in the Madison County General Sessions Court. The charges include:
• Big Game Tagging Violation (70-4-102)
• Illegal Possession (70-4-116)
The court ordered that Chris Baker must pay $1,000 in restitution, fines and court costs totaling $331, and the forfeiture of a Remington shotgun as part of the conviction.

23 year old Mason Weeks, of Ridgely, plead guilty to two charges in the Crockett County General Sessions Court. The charges include:
• Big Game Tagging Violation (70-4-102)
• Illegal Possession (70-4-116)
The court ordered that Mason Weeks will lose his hunting privileges for six months and must pay $1,000 in restitution. Additionally, he incurred fines and court costs totaling $251.
