Flags will fly at half-staff at all state buildings in Kentucky on Saturday.
The half-staff formation from sunrise to sunset is in honor of a Kentucky airman who died while supporting Operation Epic Fury.
According to the U.S. Department of War, 34 year old Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, of Bardstown, died March 12th in the crash of a KC-135 refueling tanker in western Iraq.
She was assigned to 6th Air Refueling Wing, MacDill Air Force Base in Florida.
Funeral services for Sgt. Pruitt will be held Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cox’s Creek, Kentucky.
