Three nights of rodeo begins at 7:30 tonight with the UT Martin Cowgirls and Cowboys who will show their best thru Saturday.
Head Rodeo Coach Chase Thrasher is now in his fourth year succeeding Coach John Luthi who retired but is expected to attend tonight’s rodeo.
The UT Martin Rodeo team is part of the college rodeo circuit competing through the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. UT Martin competes in the Ozark Region against schools from surrounding states.
Event for the cowboys include Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling Team Roping and Tie Down Roping.
Cowgirls events will be in Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping and Goat Tying.
Events begin tonight at 7:30 thru Saturday night in the Ned Ray McWherter Agricultural Pavilion on the UT Martin Campus next to Graham Stadium.
