Voters in Obion County can cast ballots for the May 5th County Primary starting today.
Early voting will take place from today through April 30th at the Obion County Election Commission Office located on Bill Burnett Circle.
Two contested races for the May 5th primary are on the Republican ballot.
For County Commission in District 1, Kenny Mayo, John Lane McConnell, David W. Lamb and Ricky W. Cranford are running for three seats.
The three leading vote receivers in this race will take a seat on the County Commission.
For County Commission in District 5, the ballot includes Taylor Pierce, Shane Sanford, Benny McGuire and Greg Ferguson.
The three top vote receivers in this primary will advance to face Independent candidates in the August primary.
Voting hours for the County Primary on Monday thru Friday will be from 8:30 until 4:30, with Saturday voting on April 18th and 25th from 9:00 until noon.
