A UT Martin sophomore student has been honored for his work at the university.

Christopher Heath, of Wildersville, was presented the “Beth Maloan Outstanding Student Employee Award” for the spring semester by Chancellor Dr. Yancy Freeman.

Heath is a sophomore marketing major, who is also a student worker in the UT Martin Parsons Center front office.

Kelli Deere, the director of the Parsons Center, said Heath represents the center with professionalism, warmth and maturity well beyond his years.

The “Beth Maloan Outstanding Student Employee Award” was named for the late Beth Parsons Maloan, who was a longtime UT Martin director of budgeting and payroll and class teacher in the College of Business and Public Affairs.
