Weakley County Commissioner James Washburn has been named Vice Chairman on the Public Safety Committee. Commissioner Washburn is filling the late Larry Kelly’s position.
The Weakley County Public Safety Committee heard four presentations for an ambulance bid.
The four included Weakley County Rescue Squad
and Ambulance,
American Medical Response with an office in Paris, Baptist Ambulance in Memphis, and Southern Paramedics who has services in Memphis.
The committee is reviewing the bids and is expected to be prepared for the next meeting Tuesday May 4th.
The Weakley County Rescue Squad currently has the contract until September.
