While no official corporate information has been released, Thunderbolt News has learned from employees that Stella-Jones will be closing its plant in Fulton County.
Employees have received notice indicating the first round of terminations will begin in July, followed by a final round in October.
Stella-Jones is located on Highway-51 South near in Crutchfield community, and has served as a pressure treated wood manufacturing plant.
The Fulton County location specialized in the production of railroad ties, timbers and utility poles.
Stella-Jones is a leading North American manufacturer of pressure treated wood products with 44 plants and over 3,000 global employees.
