Contrary to prior conversations, the City of Martin may have fireworks this year in celebration of Independence Day.
Martin Mayor David Belote shared with the City Board that an organization has stepped in to put on a fireworks show.
Once insurance is worked out, the fireworks are scheduled for July 3rd at 10 at the Martin Recreation Complex on Highway 45.
