Union City Police Investigating the Theft of Over $1,200 in Merchandise at Walmart

Union City police are seeking the identity of an individual who stole over $1,200 worth of merchandise at Walmart on Sunday.

Police reports said the wanted white male subject was seen entering the store just before 4:30 in the afternoon.

The individual proceeded to the electronics department and placed two Bose Soundlink waterproof portable speakers into a shopping cart.

The value of the two speakers was listed at just under $800.

The individual then placed a $378 outdoor movie projector and $35 Midland weather alert radio into the cart.

Walmart security personnel said the subject left the electronics department and proceeded out of the store on the grocery side without attempting to pay for the merchandise.

The total value of the theft was listed at just over $1,212.

Anyone who has any information about the theft is asked to contact Union City police, or their Crimestoppers Tip-Line where a reward may be issued.
