
Ninety-five rescue squads across Tennessee will share $3-million dollars from the Rescue Squad Grant Program.
The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, along with the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office, made the announcement of the recipients.
Governor Bill Lee and the State General Assembly approved the funding for the purchase of lifesaving equipment by Tennessee rescue squads.
Included in the grant disbursement was rescue squads from Obion County, South Fulton, Weakley County, Carroll County, Dyer County, Lake County and the McLemoresville Fire Department.
Tennessee rescue squads provide a range of specialized services, which includes extrication, structural collapse response and swift water rescue.
