The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office has announced Weakley County as one of 14 counties across the state to receive a clean audit.
The annual audit for the county was completed without any findings, which report on weaknesses, deficiencies, and areas of non-compliance.
A clean audit award was presented County Mayor Dale Hutcherson along with several commissioners.
Mayor Hutcherson explained the award and gave credit to those responsible.
All 91 counties audited by the Comptroller’s Office received a total of 260 findings, which was a historically low number.
