Area farmers have battled Mother Nature for most of their planting this season.
Continued rainfall kept many producers out of the fields for an extended period of time.
Obion County Agriculture Extension Agent Garrett McDaniel was asked about several fields that will not be planted.(AUDIO)
Despite the large amount of rain received, McDaniel said more will be needed.(AUDIO)
With most all planted now over, McDaniel gave an update of the crop conditions.(AUDIO)
The agriculture agent said it was hoped that good yields will come from this seasons crops, along with a good market price.
