
Over the past week, two small earthquakes were recorded in Lake County.
A 2.4 tremor was recorded on Friday morning just before noon.
The earthquake was centered just south of Tiptonville on Mooring Road.
The depth of the tremor was listed at 5.4 miles.
Last Wednesday afternoon, a 2.0 earthquake was registered north of Wynnburg.
This tremor took place just before 1:30 at a depth of 4.5 miles.
The New Madrid Fault has remained active in Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas, with registered earthquakes of 3.1 and 2.6 on August 1st just west of Blytheville.
