The Tennessee Highway Patrol has announced plans for checkpoints in both Obion and Lake County on Friday.
Troopers will be conducting a Sobriety Roadside Safety checkpoint on State Route 21, near State Route 22, in Obion County.
Officers will be checking for the possibility of motorists operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A safety belt roadside checkpoint will also take place on State Route 78 near Upper Wynburg Road in Lake County.
Troopers will be on the lookout for motorists who are not wearing seatbelts, or using child protective seats.
During each scheduled checkpoint, Highway Patrol officials will also take corrective actions for other violations that are observed.
