A big turnout took place Tuesday at the annual Feeding of 5,000 at the Obion County Fairgrounds.

Bro. Dan Huggins said the day began with a long line of people when the grocery bag distribution started at 10:00.

Approximately 1,500 food bags will be distributed, which have the ability to feed a family of four.

Those attending also had the opportunity to receive a winter coat.

The annual Soul Food Cafe traditional Thanksgiving sit-down meal with all of the trimmings will take place from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Refuge Church, which is also located on the Fairgrounds.

The public is invited to the free supper.

Many area churches, businesses and community volunteers make the annual Feeding of 5,000 possible.
