The City of Greenfield and the North West Tennessee Development District received a $750,000 grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency to rebuild and rehab homes.
Greenfield City Recorder Jerica Spikes told Thunderbolt News about the process of getting the grant.
NWTN Development District Housing Coordinator Jessica Baker said of the 16 applicants, six were chosen.
Ms. Baker said this grant has life changing impacts.
With this grant, Greenfield has been able to rebuild three homes and repair three homes in just over a year.
So far this grant has rebuilt two homes and rehabbed two homes.
