Obion County Mayor Steve Carr says 2025 has been a good year.
Although the county government is ending half of its fiscal year, Mayor Carr said good things have happened over the past 12 months.
Mayor Carr started with the growth, and dollars being received, by an enhanced tourism effort.(AUDIO)
The Mayor was also excited at potential new prospects for the ethanol plant in Obion.(AUDIO)
During the past year, the county also eliminated an ongoing problem involving mandatory record storage.(AUDIO)
Ending the year, Mayor Carr said the County government maintains a good financial standing, and is blessed to have fiscally responsible department leaders and Commissioners.
