At last night’s meeting, Weakley County Commissioners approved a daycare center for teachers and parents.
Commissioners voted 13 to 3 with one absent for the new “We Grow Academy”.
Director Cupples says this is a victory for the county.
The daycare center is to be located at the Personal Development Center in Dresden and is expected to seat up to 62 children.
Mr. Cupples expects the Daycare will be ready in the fall.
The We Grow Academy Day Care Center will be open and was planned to help teachers stay in the Weakley County School System instead of moving out of the county so they can be closer to their day care for children.
