 No tax increase in Martin for 16th straight year

For the 16th consecutive year, there is no tax increase for the City of Martin.

In a special-called meeting Friday afternoon, the Martin City Board passed the $11.3 million dollar budget for the city, which for the 16th straight year, contains no property tax increase.

While the property tax rate remains the same, there will be a two percent increase in water and sewer rates, as well as a two percent increase in solid waste.
