The UT Martin softball team fell 1-0 to Southern Indiana on Thursday in game one of a three game series.
Pitcher Ashtyn Green rolled through seven innings on Thursday, allowing no runs on three hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
In the eighth, the Skyhawks gave up three hits including the game winner.
UTM had two hits in the game from Avary Makarewicz and Dylan Scott.
The Skyhawks will close out the series today with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
