Union City school board members held their evaluation of Director of Schools Wes Kennedy this week.
Director Kennedy delivered his “State of the School System” address to the board members, saying the system is on solid ground in every way.
The Director reported on ten facets, which included personnel, academics, special education, athletics, facilities, system demographics, fine arts, technology, leadership, school climate and security.
Following the evaluation, Director Kennedy told Thunderbolt News the school system is in a good place.(AUDIO)

The annual evaluation resulted in a contract extension of one year, and a $7,000 bonus.
Kennedy is in his eighth year as Director of Schools in Union City.
