Graves County received the first medical cannabis safety compliance facility this week.
State38 LLC is a roughly one-million dollar investment, which will employ around a dozen workers.
The compliance facility is one of seven which will be located in Kentucky to ensure the safety and quality of medical cannabis products.
The safety facility comes after Kentucky broke ground last month on the first medical cannabis businesses.
Centaurus Farms LLC will have a Tier II cultivator in Wayne County, while a Tier III cultivator facility will be built in Clark County.
Reports indicate over 10,000 Kentucky residents have already successfully applied and received a medical cannabis card.
