Authorities are still searching for Gerald Pete Samples who escaped from the Crocket County Jail Wednesday.
He was being held on a violation and was awaiting extradition to Virginia. He faces felony charges for solicitation of a child by electronic means.
Samples has a prior history of escape, having fled custody in 2020.
Gerald Samples is a white male, 6 feet 2, weighing 207 pounds and was last seen wearing a brown shirt and brown pants. He remains “on the lam.” If you see Samples call 911.
