During the Weakley County Finance, Ways, and Means Committee meeting on Tuesday County Trustee Marci Floyd questioned the pay disparity between different departments in the county.
Commissioner Dennis Doster responded to Mrs. Floyd saying the commission would like to make pay more fair across departments, but it’s not something they can address this year.
Commissioner Doster said that the Commission would like to move away from handling raises and that they should be at the discretion of department heads.
The finance, ways, and means committee will be meeting again on Monday at 1 to discuss taxes. The meeting will be held at the Weakley County Board of Education
