The public is invited to a dedication Monday afternoon at the Rives Fire and Rescue building.
At 1:00, Rives Fire and Rescue will be hosting a group from the Gary Sinese Foundation, who provided a new boat and side-by-side for the department.
The Excel boat, 40 horse-power mud buddy motor and trailer, along with a Polaris four-seat, four wheel drive UTV were purchased by the foundation for the department.
The purchase was made locally at I-69 Marine and Motor Sports in Union City.
For more than a decade, the Gary Sinese Foundation has been serving families of the nation’s fallen military and first responder heroes.
Sinese is an award winning actor, musician and humanitarian, who is famous for many roles including his part as Lt. Dan Taylor in the movie “Forrest Gump”.
