

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting a Sobriety Roadside Checkpoint on Friday in Obion County.
Troopers will conduct the checkpoint on State Route 22 near State Route 157.
During the checkpoint, Highway Patrol officials will target those who are operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Troopers will also taking corrective actions for other violations that are observed.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol conducts sobriety checkpoints due to national statistics that indicate over 16,000 people are killed, and over 300,000 injured, due to impaired driving accidents annually.
