An Obion County Commissioner challenged the full board to act on conditions of state roads at this week’s meeting.
Commissioner Danny Jowers called for a resolution to be sent to state officials condemning the state road conditions in the county.(AUDIO)
Jowers urged fellow board members to band together in support of making the roadways more appealing.(AUDIO)
County Mayor Steve Carr said he has also unsuccessfully requested assistance to the state road issues.(AUDIO)
Commissioner Allen Nohsey expressed his support in urging the state to mow and repair the road damage.(AUDIO)
Following the debate, Commission members voted unanimously for County Attorney Steve Conley to write a resolution in support for state road maintenance.
