Four people were found dead last night in Lake County, which may be related to the discovery of an abandoned infant earlier in Dyer County.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box said the identity of the deceased victims are being withheld until next of kin notification.

The deaths are being investigated in connection with the discovery of a seven month old child in a car seat, which was located in the yard of a home in the Tigrett community of Dyer County.

Sheriff’s officials said a witness saw the child in the yard just after 3:00 on Tuesday, with heat index values at the time over 105 degrees.

Medical personnel were dispatched to the scene, with the child rescued and in good condition.

Officers learned the baby was abandoned from a dark colored minivan or mid-size SUV.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and FBI are assisting the Dyer County and Lake County Sheriff’s Office in the case of the abandoned child and discovery of the deceased victims.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to contact the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office.
