Union City police were called to investigate the theft of yard care equipment.
Officers responded to a residence on Lynn Street, where the equipment was discovered missing from a trailer.
Police reports said Justin Thomas told officers he was preparing for work, when he realized a Steel edger, two weed eaters and a hedge trimmer were missing from the trailer.
The value of the theft was listed at over $1,600 dollars.
Police were able to get the serial numbers for the stolen items, which were placed into the National Crime Information Center.
