A mother, father and child were killed when a tree fell on their car as heavy rain and flooding hit Chattanooga yesterday while another man died in flood waters.
Heavy rain and flash flooding prompted rescues of people stuck in homes and swamped vehicles.
At one point, there were 60 vehicles on the flooded interstate.
The National Weather Service said 6.42 inches of rain making it the second wettest single day in the history records dating back to 1879.
