Even though un-officially the Soybean Festival is not quite ready to begin but this weekend the Martin Farmers Market will be open 8 till noon downtown. Customers can purchase locally grown produce. The Tennessee Soybean Harvest Festival will feature “live” music, guest food vendors, and local craft vendors.
At noon Saturday the Soybean Festival will host the “Lil Wranglers Barrel Race” with young cowboys and cowgirls competing in the Ned McWherter Ag Pavilion at noon.
And Sunday the 11th Annual Guitar as Art Contest and Exhibition, showcasing guitars that have been artistically altered using any 2D media method.
The exhibit will open Sunday1:00 til 5:00 at the UTM Fine Arts Building 95 Mount Pelia Road.
