The Tennessee Department of Corrections will transition from physical mail to digitized mail for inmates at all TDOC facilities beginning November 3rd.
Inmates will receive their mail at a centralized, off-site facility where it will be processed, scanned, and sent to them in a digital version on tablets provided by TDOC.
The digital version will feature drawings and other allowed customization.
