
The Tennessee Department of Transportation will officially hold a bridge name unveiling in Memphis Friday morning.
The ceremony at 10:00 will officially announce the name for the I-55 Bridge over the Mississippi River as “Kings Crossing”.
The name is in honor and recognition of B.B. King, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Elvis Presley.
The official “Kings Crossing” name was adopted by the Tennessee General Assembly and Arkansas Highway Commission.
Friday morning’s ceremony at Beale Street Landing will include officials from TDOT and ARDOT, along with federal and state officials, and representatives of the “Kings Crossing” honorees.
