Union City Choir Members Recognized for Their Performance

A group of Union City High School students participated in the All-Northwest Tennessee Honor Choir this past weekend.

School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said the nine selected members stood out in a talented group of singers.

Over 500 West Tennessee students auditioned for the group, with 240 selected for the final ensemble.

Following three days of intensive rehearsal in Jackson, the choir held a final performance at Freed Hardeman University under the direction of Dr. Frances Cathlina from the University of Memphis.

Five Union City participants were placed in the Top-10 for their voice parts, with four placed in the Top-5 of their section.

Participating in the choir from Union City High School was Phoebe Coleman, Julissa Mack, Annie Burcham, Calleigh Hammer, Nathan Finch, Landon McAdams, Brandt Huffstutter, Trey Jackson and Colton Gary.
