Tennessee U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn had her Memphis Safe Task Force resolution blocked by Democrats on Wednesday.
Senator Blackburn had urged colleagues on the floor to support a resolution recognizing the success of the Task Force.

Since the beginning of the Memphis Safe Task Force, Senator Blackburn said violent crime had dropped 46-percent, with homicides down 50-percent and carjackings falling 60-percent.
