Winter Car Kits

cold-weather-5

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration advises drivers to prepare their winter emergency car kits before weather intensifies.

Winter Car kits should include, a shovel, a flare, canned food, a can opener, a first aid kit, water, blankets, a Flashlight with batteries, broom, ice scraper and sand.

Prepare your vehicle for such weather by checking all lights on your vehicles and trailers.

Check your local weather and traffic reports before heading out.

If your roads are not in good shape, consider postponing non-essential travel until the roads are cleared. If you do have to go out, make sure you are prepared in case you become delayed while traveling.
