It was another brisk number of potential candidates Tuesday who have picked up a petition to seek an office in Weakley County.
They include Travis Davis for Circuit Court Clerk
Joey Melhorn for District 6 County Commissioner
James Washburn for District 9 County Commissioner
Barry Ward for Constable of District 1
Richard Black Constable District 2
Anthony Trimble for Constable of District 3 and
Steve Vantrease for School Board on District 6.
Those who are considering to seek office in Weakley County must pick up a petition at the Election Commission Office, get a minimum of 25 bona-fide signatures on the petition and must have the petition turned in by February 19th for certification. The Primary Election will be in May.
